Evaluation question 3:Possible distribution methods

Here is a prezi answering the 3rd evaluation question:

Evaluation question 2: How does our film represent different social groups?

This prezi explains how our film represents different social groups:

Evulation Question 1: Challenging conventions and forms of real media products

From our thriller we have noted that there are certain aspects that we have added that differentiates us from regualr thrillers produced. They mainly tend to focus on the characters themselves and the story line that they are invloved in. Such as :
-From this picture we can see certain things that both conform to regular thriller villain ideas whilst also changing it slightly to attract a larger audience.

-From looking at the mask the villain has we would associate it from a sexual idea that certain people like. This adds another level to the character as the viewer then begin to question his motives even further.

-From the rest of the villain's costume we see that he shows signs of youth. Wearing converse trainers it makes the audience recognise the brand as something that younger people would generally wear. This then adds another level as well as we begin to slowly put some of the peices together on this characters possible life. Even though we barely see him, we are able to slowly gain an idea on who and what this man is, and some of the psycological reasons why he is doing what he is doing.

-Our film manages to keep the secretive, shady tone that usual thrillers do whilst also adding more of a horror element to the characters and their demises.

Our Finished Thriller

Here is our final project completed, that we have published on to Youtube:

This is the final edited version of our thriller that we posted on youtube.

Problems with editing

For some reason when we attempted to upload our video to the mac computers. At one point exactly the movie kept on freezing, we tried to re-download the movie but it didn't work, so we are going to save the movie onto a USB again and attempt to re-upload it.

Post filming : Analysis of Preliminary task screen still in Comparison

From this shot we can see problems that i have learned to deal with whilst creating the final movie.
I can see the following problems:
-The character handing michael the note has been cut out of shot. This was down to the limited space we had whilst filming. A way to fix his could be to pick places to film with more space to place the camera.

-The top of Michael's head has been cut off because of the same problem.
-The camera is slightly shaky in real time which was because i was attempting to catch all of the points into  a small screen.

How does or film represent certain social groups in society?

I believe that our film relates more specifically to an adult couple between 20 and 40. I think this because of it's heavy "Who dunnit?"style and how it is filmed. Because of the build up to the point where the man is attacked there is a suspense that would be seen in something like a television audience. Where as the slight horror element to it can also help us appeal to the younger audiences of perhaps 18-25.
